Palakkad reigns supreme when the State School Science Festival is flagged off. Palakkad became the champions with 1383 points. Palakkad's excellence in IT and social science fairs led Palakkad to the crown. This is the fourth time in a row that Palakkad has come first in points in the Shastrotsavam.
Malappuram district came second with 1350 points and Kannur came third with 1338 points. At the school level, Idukki Koombanpara Fatima Mata Girls HSS came first with 120 points and Kanhangad Durga HSS (117) came second. Wayanad Mananthavadi GVHSAS (113) is third.
Palakkad and Thiruvananthapuram (122) shared the first position in Shastrotsavam. Kannur (117) is second and Pathanamthitta (116) is third. Palakkad (133) stood first in Sociology Mela. Thiruvananthapuram and Malappuram (130) shared the second position. Ernakulam is at the third position (128).
Malappuram (262) stood first in Mathematics Mela. Second place was won by Palakkad (253) and third place by Kannur (242). Thrissur (752) became the champions in the work experience fair. Palakkad (749) secured the second position and Kannur (746) secured the third position. Palakkad (126) ranks first in the IT fair. Kozhikode (125) is second and Kannur (117) is third.
Ernakulam Manikyamangalam St. Clair Oral School for the Deaf bagged the first prize in the special school HI category at the Sastrotsavam. Eranjipalam Karuna Speech and Hearing School for the Deaf in Kozhikode won the second position, Malappuram and Karunya Bhavan School for the Deaf in Vazhakkad won the third position. Kanjirapally Assisi School for the Blind won in the Special School VI category. Kottapuram HKCMM Blind School came second and Kozhikode Medical College Rahmania VHSS came third.
Overall Points Status of Other Districts: Thrissur: 1312, Kozhikode: 1306, Ernakulam: 1304, Thiruvananthapuram: 1265, Kottayam: 1262, Kasaragod: 1253, Wayanad 1240, Kollam: 1217, Alappuzha: 1211, Idukki: 1203, Pathanamthitta: 1197. Conclusion The conference was inaugurated by Minister P. Rajeev. Minister Antony Raju gave the prize to the winners.
